Rhythm is the repetition of visual elements in a balanced way such as colour, texture, scale and proportion. It depicts harmony, flow and continuity at a determined pace. The motifs chosen also have a rhythmic pattern like the ripples in the water, military men marching and the rustling of leaves. They are balanced and proportionate in a harmonising way. Colours of the same tints and shades and complementary colours create a synchrony in the pattern. The most significant element used to depict rhythm is lines which are continuous or curvilinear in form. This collection of prints provide a calming and soothing effect to the eye.
